Amazing country hospitality. Made us feel home at every opportunity and was a genuinely friendly environment. Would recommend to anyone.

Second oldest hotel in Aust and its like Museum. It even has a music room next to the bar. I was surprised that find this gem out there !

Passing through and camped at the local campground on the river. Had the best Lamb Roast we had ever eaten for dinner the night we were stopped there. Keep up the great work.

Gina and John were top of the class hosts, making my stay comfortable. As I had my dog Washington in the car, I had paid for two nights but instead, I left early as Washington was pining for me. I travelled across Tasmania in 2010, distributing the proceeds of the sale of my home to those homeless and forgotten by the Rudd government. I helped finance quite a few cherry pickers at Huonville and that gave me a sense of purpose why I had to be there. The Hamilton Inn is a rustic reminder of yesteryear but comfortable and pleasant. We found it by accident but would love to stay here sometime. We had a wonderful morning tea beside a log fire end of May 2015. Gina's scones were so light and delicious. I highly recommend this. The antiques are just great and you can play "Guess what this is?" Things I didn't know existed. Wonderful people John & Gina. Very hospitable.
